Hello there and Well Come! This is the web site for TPF, the Prisoner fanzine by and for the Liverpool Prisoner Group.  Here you will find articles previously published in the printed magazine TPF, photos of Portmeirion, an EXCLUSIVE collection of B/W pictures taken during the actual filming of "The Prisoner" in Portmeirion, fan fiction, artwork and the only place on the net where you can see a fantastic recreation of Number 6's apartment, in the section "Pam's Place".  We do NOT feature large scale production stills on this site; thumbnails have been used where appropriate and for illustration only.

This site uses DTHML/javascript, and is best viewed with screen resolution of 1024 × 768.
Best viewed using Internet Explorer 6; however for the benefit of IE haters we have tested in
Firefox 2.0 and Opera 9.20.

Some headings use the
Village font, PC users click here to download it.

Updates to the site are documented HERE.

The Liverpool Group meets on the second Thursday of each month, and publishes the fanzine TPF on an irregular basis. If you are in the area and would like details of group meetings, or if you have any correspondence, articles, artwork, praise, photographs, or complaints, please contact either myself (Ronnie) or TPF Editor Alan via e-mail:

Frank Maher

We are sad to report the death of stuntman and actor Frank Maher on 13th July, 2007 after a long illness.

Frank Maher is best known to fans of 'The Prisoner' as the regular stunt double for Patrick McGoohan; his only credited appearance was in the episode 'Living In Harmony' where he played one of the Judge's gunmen.  He was the stunt arranger for the series and many of the 'back view shots' of Number Six walking through the Village were in fact, Frank Maher.

Frank Maher worked on many other ITC series as well as 'The Prisoner' and 'Danger Man', including 'The Persuaders!' and 'The Avengers'. In later years he became a popular figure at many TV fan events; always ready to chat, pose for photographs and relate anecdotes of his time working in TV stunt work.

TPF offers its condolences to the family and friends of Mr Maher.
